NDA backs independent candidate Parimal Nathwani in Jharkhand RS poll due to lack of numbers #news
Jharkhand’s Rajya Sabha election has taken an interesting political turn.
Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi said that the NDA currently has 24 MLAs, while 28 votes are required for victory. Since the alliance lacks the necessary numbers, it has decided not to field its own candidate and instead support independent candidate Parimal Nathwani.
Is this simply political arithmetic, or does it signal a new strategy in Jharkhand politics? Share your thoughts in the comments.
